How does Reformation track their environmental impact?
Reformation developed RefScale, a lifecycle tool that calculates the environmental footprint of every garment they produce — measuring CO2 emissions, water usage, and waste generated. Each product page displays these metrics alongside the industry average, so customers can see exactly how much impact they're saving. In 2023, they saved an estimated 13,000 tons of CO2 compared to conventional brands.
What makes their production sustainable?
Reformation manufactures most of their clothing in their own Los Angeles factory, using deadstock fabrics, sustainable fibers like Tencel and recycled materials. They produce in limited quantities to minimize waste, invest in renewable energy for their facilities, and have achieved carbon neutrality across their entire operations since 2019.
